October 27, 2020

There are only 7 days until the general election. In Johnson County alone, they reported receiving 52,000 mail-in ballots already in ballot drop boxes. 37% of voters in VotertoVoter have already voted! Thank you for all your hard work in getting the climate and energy vote out so far.

Check the status of your contacts in the VotertoVoter tool to see who hasn’t voted or returned their mail-in ballot. The Postal Service suggests returning advance ballots in the mail by TODAY and the secretary of state’s office suggests getting them in by this Saturday. Refer contacts to ksballot.org to find their voting and ballot drop box locations, and to set up a reminder to vote.

Hot Tip!

Just yesterday I (Jamie) helped a friend who was planning to stand in line on Nov 3rd because he didn’t know how to vote early. I pulled out my phone, went to ksballot.org, typed in his address and showed him where he can vote early in Topeka, where he’s registered to vote. I asked him if he’d like a reminder text message sent to him and he said absolutely! So I set it all up for him on ksballot.org, it only took about 2 minutes. He would have gotten a reminder text this morning at 8am with his early voting location in it.
