One of the most effective ways to increase voter turnout is for people to hear from someone they know about voting. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic people are using social media even more to stay connected and share information.

Instead of going door-to-door to canvass voters, collectively we can impact voter turnout by creating social media posts with messages about why it’s critical we all vote this November.  Like a traditional door-to-door canvass, the goal will be to educate voters and build our community of voters.

The virtual canvass will be Monday, August 17th. Participants get to engage with people from across the Midwest and receive everything needed to take part in a virtual canvass!

This training is part of a series for leaders who care about environmental justice, economic equity, and public health issues, and increased voter turnout in communities across the Midwest. It’s hosted by The RE-AMP Network, a network of 130+ organizations across the Midwest working to equitably eliminate greenhouse gases. The Climate + Energy Project is a proud member of the RE-AMP Network.

Between now and election day, leaders from these organizations are having thousands of conversations with people in their communities to make sure everyone votes and voices are heard. Learn more about relational organizing.
