HB 2273, a bill that adds prohibitive set backs for wind turbines, is a thinly veiled attempt to stop wind development in Kansas. 

This bill was introduced this week and will have a hearing in the House Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications Committee on Feb. 19th. Details below. CEP will submit testimony in opposition to the bill.

If you wish to submit written testimony, you must contact committee assistant Patricia Kready (patricia.kready@house.ks.gov) by 9 AM tomorrow (Feb. 15). On the day of the hearing she’ll need 50 copies of the testimony.

If you’d like help getting the required paper copies to the committee by the deadline, email your testimony to Dorothy no later than 5pm tomorrow (Feb. 15).
