CEP staff work hard, but we also take care of our people. From increasing our online engagement and helping our partners to prioritizing the well-being of our team, we’re doing our best to support our community for the long haul.

For the last several years, we’ve systematized long-held ideals like work-life balance, family and health first, and equitable collaboration.  Thankfully, these efforts put us in a good place when Covid-19 hit.  Our staff work 100% from home, so the transition to remote working was smooth.  That doesn’t mean there weren’t other stressors.  We check in regularly and adjust hours as needed to make sure our team is strong and feels supported, so we can keep doing the good work Kansas needs to realize a healthy and resilient future.

What’s hot on the CEP YouTube Channel

Thanks to years of investment in digital organizing and online engagements, we were ready to adapt to this new reality.  We quickly moved most of our planned events online, and we’ve expanded our online offerings.  From Making the Connections: Climate Change in Kansas videos to a collaboration with Kansas Appleseed on Utility Shutoffs and a whole bunch in between, we’re doing our best to keep you informed!

...and entertained! We work hard, but we also like to have fun. So why not take the fun online?! We’ve hosted two virtual happy hours with our Kansas Environmental Leadership group to help our supporters connect during this difficult time (spoiler alert: Another one’s planned for June 5th! Email Leilani if you’d like an invite!).

How can we help?

While we’re stepping up our digital engagement game, we know others are still struggling to get up to speed.  We don’t want the work of other environmental organizations to suffer during this time.  We’re working with our partners and supporters to see how we can help.  That’s just what we do.  Let us know what you need, and we’ll see what we can do!
