Giving to support a clean energy future in Kansas

All of us at the Climate + Energy Project enter into this holiday season full of gratitude for the past ten years of successful work towards a clean energy future in Kansas.  We couldn’t have done it without you.

With a mind to the future, CEP launched two fundraising campaigns at our recent TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY Celebration: our action fund and endowment.
  • The ACTION FUND will provide the flexibility we need to quickly respond to emerging energy issues, while also offering a measure of security in leaner times.  Communities need to build resilience, and so do nonprofits.  Our ACTION FUND will help us weather the storms, come what may.
  •  Recognizing that our actions today impact the world tomorrow, we launched an ENDOWMENT campaign to ensure that climate and energy issues will remain on the forefront in Kansas for generations to come.  Additionally, the endowment fund will position CEP to accept legacy donations or other major gifts from our supporters.
Our initial goals are modest, but we are already well on our way!  To date, we have received $11,800 of donations and pledges toward the action fund, and $5,625 for the endowment.  Please consider supporting our campaign this giving season.

CEP is changing the dialogue around climate and energy in Kansas.  Your investment in CEP supports renewable energy and energy efficiency in policy and practice and creates a healthier, more resilient Kansas.  We are growing programs, strengthening communities, and leading the way to a clean energy future in Kansas.

Support CEP this #GivingTuesday!
Don't miss this great Matching opportunity! Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will match up to $50,000 per non-profit in donations on #GivingTuesday. Your gift becomes twice as powerful!

Join the movement and donate to CEP on #GivingTuesday:
  • You are supporting a local nonprofit working in Kansas for a decade.
  • Your donations fuel wind, solar, and energy efficiency growth in Kansas and the region. CEP advocacy and education helped increase Kansas wind from 300 MW in 2007 to over 5,000 MW today.
  • With your help, we are building resilient communities in Kansas, through education, capacity building, and policy work.
