CEP Celebrates Ten Years of Energy Leadership in Kansas!

22 days ago | Oct 31, 2017
By: CEP Staff,

For the past ten years, the Climate + Energy Project has been instrumental in the growth of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Kansas. Last Friday, (Oct. 27th)  over 100 of our supporters came together to celebrate our successes:

Our continued success is possible thanks to the efforts of thousands of Kansans. We were honored to celebrate some of those leaders through CEP awards: Bruce Graham, Mark Richardson and Nancy Jackson, were all honored for their service to Kansas and CEP.

As we cheered to past successes, while enjoying a delicious, locally sourced dinner (catered by Raven’s Table Catering), we also looked at what we will need to continue our work into the future. Thanks to our generous donations from our board and supporters, we are optimistic! We are proud to announce the initiation of an endowment that will ensure CEP’s work into the future. Thank you to our supporters Jim Barnes and Jessie Roberts for writing an awesome jingle for us!

Our silent auction was a great success with over forty items donated and auctioned off to establish our Action Fund. Our supporters make our work possible - please consider donating to our endowment or action fund today!(want more info?  Let us know!  - Email barnett@climateandenergy.org)

Thanks to our event sponsors: Clean Line Energy Partners, Polsinelli, Tradewind Energy, Cromwell Solar, KCP&L, American Wind Energy Association AWEA, Vote Solar, FreeState Beer, Westar Energy.
